February Strike commemoration at Willem Kraan monument: "Paver who stood up for others"

A commemoration of the February Strike took place in Amsterdam's Nieuw-West district at the monument dedicated to resistance hero Willem Kraan. Kraan, a streetmaker, was one of the key initiators of the 1941 strike protesting the Nazi persecution of Jewish citizens. The annual ceremony serves as a local tribute to Kraan's courage and as a supplement to the main commemoration in the city center.
