Professor: Silent protest during two minutes of silence no grounds for arrest

Legal experts are questioning the lawfulness of the 13 arrests made during the National Remembrance Day ceremony at Amsterdam's Dam Square, specifically targeting nine silent protesters. Professor Jon Schilder argued that a peaceful, silent demonstration does not provide legal grounds for arrest unless there is an actual threat of public disorder. Although the protesters have been released, their lawyer plans to challenge the arrests, claiming the right to demonstrate at a chosen location was violated.
