Little disappointment among South and Red Light District residents over erotic center cancellation

Residents of Amsterdam's Zuid and De Wallen neighborhoods have reacted positively to the decision by political parties PRO and D66 to scrap plans for a centralized erotic center. The coalition will instead explore smaller-scale alternatives to reduce window prostitution and has also decided against implementing a cannabis ban for tourists. Mayor Femke Halsema stated she was not surprised by the decision, despite her previous long-term advocacy for the project.
