Primary schools focus on Keti Koti: "We are parading through the neighborhood"
Primary schools across Amsterdam are increasingly dedicating time to educate students about Keti Koti, the anniversary of the abolition of slavery. The Flevoparkschool in East Amsterdam is leading these efforts with a month-long program that culminates in a festive parade through the neighborhood on July 1st. Other schools throughout the city are also participating through guest lectures, museum visits, and traditional workshops to honor this historical event.
