Robert finds looted Goudstikker painting among bulky waste: 'I thought it was hideous'

A man named Robert van der Hoek discovered a painting from the stolen collection of Jewish art dealer Jacques Goudstikker among trash in Amsterdam. After identifying the work, he returned it to the Goudstikker heirs without compensation, concluding a long journey for the piece which had been looted by the Nazis in 1940.
