Nathalie van Berkel (D66) is not the first to face controversy over her education
D66 MP Nathalie van Berkel has resigned from the Dutch House of Representatives and withdrawn as a candidate for State Secretary of Finance following controversy over her educational credentials. Although party leader Rob Jetten initially supported her remaining in parliament, Van Berkel decided to step down from all political roles on Tuesday. She is one of several Dutch politicians who have recently faced scrutiny regarding their academic backgrounds.
