Willem II fans to receive free hamburgers from Ajax supporters tonight

Ajax supporters are handing out free hamburgers to visiting Willem II fans at the Johan Cruijff Arena to protest the lack of diverse catering options for away spectators. The supporters' club hopes this action will prompt stadium caterers to improve their menus for all fans in the future.

Ajax supporters are offering free hamburgers to visiting Willem II fans at the Johan Cruijff Arena tonight. This initiative, organized by the AFCA Supportersclub, serves as a protest against the limited food selection provided to away fans, specifically noting that only hotdogs are typically available as a warm meal option in the stadium. The organizers hope this gesture will encourage the stadium's catering service to improve the variety of food offered during matches. Furthermore, Ajax fans aim to set a precedent with this action, hoping it will influence other clubs to offer a more diverse menu when Ajax supporters travel for away games. The match between the two teams is scheduled to kick off this evening at 20:00. By choosing the free hamburgers, supporters hope to send a clear message to the catering management regarding the need for better food quality and variety for all stadium visitors.
