Fish return to brand-new Artis aquarium after more than five years

After a five-year, 50 million euro renovation, the historic 1882 aquarium at Artis Zoo in Amsterdam is preparing to reopen with new fish arrivals, including a spotted smooth-hound shark from Emmen. The restoration addressed leakage issues in the world's oldest functioning aquarium, which is scheduled to welcome the public again starting June 13.
