Alanis Morissette has announced the upcoming release of her debut Christmas album, titled Good Weather for Immaculate Conception, scheduled for November. The project will feature a mix of classic holiday carols, previously released covers, and two original compositions. To mark the announcement, Morissette has released a new rendition of Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, which includes vocal contributions from Brandi Carlile and features Steve Martin on instrumentals.

This release follows the singer's previous holiday-themed work, which included covers of popular tracks like Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Last Christmas. Morissette, who gained international fame in the 1990s with her breakthrough album Jagged Little Pill, continues a prolific period following her 2022 release, The Storm Before the Calm. The artist remains active globally, having performed live in the Netherlands earlier this year.
