Will Mikky Keetels become the Jutta Leerdam of running? "I think she's amazing"

Top athletes Khalid Choukoud, Noah Schutte, and Mikky Keetels addressed the media ahead of the upcoming Amsterdam Marathon. Choukoud, affectionately known as Mister Amsterdam, is preparing for his eighth appearance at the event, aiming to finish as the fastest Dutchman at the age of forty. He will be competing alongside 31-year-old Noah Schutte, who emphasizes that while they are rivals for the title of fastest national runner, they plan to support each other throughout the race starting from the Olympic Stadium.

Meanwhile, Mikky Keetels is attracting attention for her athletic performance and her active presence on social media. Hopeful to finish the marathon in under two and a half hours, Keetels aims to inspire young athletes by sharing her training and daily life. She expressed appreciation for comparisons to skater Jutta Leerdam, noting her desire to use her platform to promote the sport similarly. The marathon will take place this Sunday, with live coverage provided by NH starting in the morning.
