What's cooler than a rave on a plane: Schiphol celebrates ADE

Schiphol Airport is participating in the Amsterdam Dance Event by hosting a series of electronic music parties within its terminals and a repurposed KLM aircraft. The celebrations began with a silent disco in the Schengenlounge to welcome international visitors arriving for the city-wide festival.
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is celebrating the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) by hosting music celebrations directly at the airport. The festivities kicked off with a vibrant silent disco in the Schengenlounge, where arriving passengers and international visitors began their party week immediately upon landing. This initiative, organized in collaboration with ADE and Martin Garrix’s label STMPD RCRDS, aims to immerse international guests in the city's electronic music culture the moment they arrive in the country. The event features various performances by DJs throughout the terminal area.
Beyond the lounge, the celebration extended to an exclusive event held in an old KLM airplane parked on the premises. Guests, including local residents and invited fans, enjoyed a unique rave experience inside the repurposed aircraft, complete with food and refreshments. Marketing manager Aniek Schuffelen noted that because a large portion of ADE attendees travel through the airport, the venue serves as the ideal location to welcome visitors and generate excitement for the five-day festival held across Amsterdam.
