Jennifer Tosch, the founder of the Black Heritage Tour, has been nominated for a Black Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals for their work, with Tosch specifically noted for her efforts in highlighting the colonial history of Amsterdam through guided tours of historical sites like Huis Willet-Holshuijsen. The winners of this year's awards will be announced this Friday at the conclusion of Black History Month.

Last year's winner, Cindy de Koning, who chairs the police's Caribbean Network, described the accolade as an important form of validation from her community. De Koning noted that while the recognition brings responsibility and expectations, it serves as a significant milestone for those working toward inclusion and change. As thirteen nominees across five categories await the results, the previous winner encourages the upcoming recipients to remain committed to their causes while also prioritizing their own well-being.
