Renovation of Akendam auditorium

The Akendam cemetery auditorium will undergo a major renovation from March 2 to mid-September 2026 to improve accessibility and modernize facilities while preserving the building's original design. During this period, the auditorium will be closed for farewell services, though burials will continue as construction work will be paused during ceremonies to avoid disruption. Alternative locations for services have been arranged at the St. Jozef cemetery chapel and other external venues.
