Special find in construction skip leads to exhibition on wartime Jewish students

History teacher Cees Koole discovered WWII-era school records in a construction container at Amsterdam's Spinoza Lyceum, detailing the forced departure of 39 Jewish students. His research into their fates is now the basis of the exhibition 'Lege stoelen in de klas' at the Amsterdam City Archive. The display illustrates the impact of German occupation measures by tracing how classrooms were gradually emptied of Jewish pupils and staff.
