Life can be lonely as a Palestinian in Amsterdam: ‘We long for a safe space to share our pain’
The newly formed Palestinian Network Amsterdam (PNA) has launched a series of gatherings to provide a safe, supportive space for Palestinians in the city to connect and heal from collective trauma. Supported by the municipality, the initiative addresses the isolation and lack of culturally sensitive psychological support faced by the local diaspora, including refugees who have recently fled Gaza. These events offer members a rare opportunity to share their identity and experiences in an exclusive environment without the pressure of explaining their background to outsiders.
