Just like 25 years ago, the mayor married three same-sex couples last night

Mayor Femke Halsema officiated the marriages of three same-sex couples at Amsterdam's Stopera to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the world's first legal same-sex weddings. The ceremony included speeches from Prime Minister Rob Jetten and performances by a queer choir, echoing the historic event that first took place in the city in 2001.
