German recreates burnt-down Vondelkerk with 6,800 Lego bricks
German engineer Luca König has constructed a 6,800-piece Lego replica of Amsterdam's Vondelkerk as a tribute following the historic building's partial collapse in a New Year's Eve fire. The detailed model, which cost approximately 450 euros to create, was designed using Google Earth as a reference and was recently showcased at an exhibition in Erfurt.
