At the organic sheep farm: These sheep may give less milk, but the quality is higher and the animals are healthier

Mark and Anita van Alderwegen have operated Boerderij De Schapenstreek, an organic sheep farm near Lutjebroek, for twenty-seven years. They produce artisanal ice cream, yogurt, and cheese from sheep's milk, with their annual ice cream season beginning on March 1st. The farmers focus on animal health and high-quality milk production rather than high yields.
