Municipality refuses to intervene in residential parking chaos: Residents must provide their own parking

The Amsterdam municipality has refused to intervene in the parking crisis in the Amstel III district, stating that residents are responsible for securing their own parking spaces. Although residents face high costs and a lack of permits in the newly developed area, city officials maintain that the limited street parking was a deliberate choice to prioritize housing space. No immediate solutions have been offered to address the illegal parking issues resulting from the shortage.
