How evacuated hantavirus patients are safely transported from Schiphol to the hospital

Two patients infected with the hantavirus are being evacuated from a cruise ship near Cape Verde to Schiphol Airport under strict isolation protocols. They will be transported in specialized vehicles to a hospital in the Netherlands, while a third asymptomatic contact will be taken to Germany for monitoring. The operation, coordinated by the RIVM, follows established emergency plans used for previous high-risk infectious disease transfers.
