Spanish passenger on KLM flight tests negative for hantavirus

A Spanish passenger and a flight attendant from Haarlem have both tested negative for the hantavirus after a Dutch woman died from the virus on a flight from Johannesburg to Amsterdam. While the specific virus variant is transmissible between humans, medical experts from Amsterdam UMC emphasize there is no cause for public panic. The Spanish passenger will undergo a second test in 24 hours for confirmation.
