Girls get priority over boys on five football pitches

The city of Amsterdam has introduced priority signs for girls at five local soccer pitches to encourage them to be more active in spaces typically dominated by boys. Specific days have been designated at various locations, such as Smaragtplein and Johan Cruyff Court, to give girls precedence. While the rule is not strictly enforced, officials hope the initiative sends a supportive signal and provides a comfortable environment for girls to play sports.
