Waternet has issued a boiling advisory for approximately 200 residents near Kastelenstraat in Amsterdam-Zuid after enterococci bacteria were detected in the tap water. The contamination occurred after sand entered the pipes, marking the third location in Amsterdam to receive such an advisory this week. Waternet is currently flushing the system and testing the water, advising residents to boil water for three minutes before consumption until further notice.
